My head is a pickle
I walk like a cripple
So pour me a triple
I'll tip you a nickel
Do you think I'm a loser
A chronic abuser
C'mon there must be something wrong
You say I'm dying
That I'm not trying
But they're not my choices
Obeying the voices
In my ears
The pain disappears
Give in and surrender
Johnny's on a bender tonight
She came out of nowhere
I grew back my nose hairs
She showed me her sweetness
And that is my weakness
I tried to protect her
From my medical records
I don't wanna do her wrong
You said I was dying
Should I be crying
A choir of voices
Sings and rejoices
In my ears
The pain disappears
Give in and surrender
Johnny's on a bender tonight

Power pop is a pretty formulaic genre -- a glorious formula, but still, predictable enough that lots and lots of bands can pull off a "perfect" blend of melody, harmony, jangle and crunch a time or two in the course of their careers. But I can't name another record that hits the magic spot EVERY SINGLE TRACK. This is so f$%#ing good. Craig O'Neill
